Thanks so much, Sam! You're right on all accounts -- doing the backgrounds is not only easier, but more fun to do, and having the satisfaction of physically holding a finished painting, or making the paining itself, is significantly greater than Photoshop. While I still respect digital artwork, I feel as though it was a sort of 'phase' of mine, and there are aspects of it that I miss sometimes(undo button, comes to mind), but that's part of the charm of real-world "analog" art.

Your words are encouraging. I have, for the first time in years, seriously considered showing my work at a gallery or something, and am in the process of exploring that venue. For some reason, doing that with digital work was ... less appealing.
